Earwigs FAQs
Question 1

What is the best way to control earwigs?

Question 2

How do I control earwigs in my garden? I see them most on the dahlias. They eat the flowers and the foliage.

Question 3

I am writing about a garden bed at a school. We are growing 3 types of peas, and they are being decimated by something that is eating the leaves, and in many cases the whole plant, down to a nub. Several people have mentioned seeing earwigs, could they be the cause of the problem? If so how would you get rid of them. I am going to attempt the "rolled newspaper trap" this evening to see if that catches enough to raise my suspicions. But I would appreciate any advice you can give me to get this school garden back on track. Obviously a "green" solution would be preferred. Thank you in advance for any information you can share on this matter.
